I thought it would be hygienic because diatomaceous earth is fluffy and washable. It doesn't absorb moisture quickly, but I'm satisfied with this! And it's pretty. The shared bathroom is cream-colored because the living room is porcelain. I chose brown for the master bathroom that matches the wood bed. I like it!
