We didn't use a company except for painting and flooring, and did everything ourselves with my dad and uncle. Before remodeling, the existing kitchen was L-shaped, and had already been remodeled in a dark navy color. Since I decided to remodel in ivory + beige tones, I decided to change the upper and lower cabinets, and because of the L-shaped island table, there wasn't a proper place to put the table, so I decided to boldly change it to a straight kitchen.
