Designing a cramped laundry room space & designing the experience! (I'm writing this for the second time because the upload failedㅠㅠ I'm not excited😭) When I first moved, I was worried because the laundry room was so small that it could only fit one washing machine and one person. Why are apartment laundry rooms always next to the kitchen?.. I guess it's the taste of the people who design apartments?ㅠㅠ I think I'm the only one who feels uncomfortable when the kitchen, where you have to be careful about hygiene and manage ingredients and cook, and the laundry room, where you have to deal with outside dust and dirty things for laundry, are right next to each other ㅎㅎ I'm worried that dirty contaminants will get into the food while I'm cooking, and that kimchi water will splash on the laundry that's been cleaned..🥺 Anyway, I tried hard to separate the spaces. **My Laundry Room Priority** 1. In order to install both the existing Baby Love washing machine and the new LG Twin Tower (Trom + Mini Wash), I removed the sliding door and partition wall and installed a triple-linked glass door. 2. To make laundry easier, keep the laundry sorted and near the washing machine. 3. There is laundry room lighting, but it should not be dark when the washing machine is opened, so install lighting in a shadowy area. 4. Install a laundry sink near the washing machine to make larval washing and hand washing easier. 5. It is convenient to have a dryer nearby after washing, but since it is right next to the kitchen, there is a greater possibility that the laundry will be further contaminated with water and food, so install a dryer and drying rack separately to separate the laundry room and drying room. While redesigning the space, I tore down all the partition walls, ran wires, installed rail lighting, added switches, and added a sink, and the interior designer kept complaining that it was not the current trend, that something was wrong, and that there was nothing I could do. Even if I paid for the interior design myself, I had to be mindful of what others thought. It was sad 🫢😱😭🤪 When running both washing machines, there is an inconvenience of having to open the middle door back and forth, but I am satisfied with this much because I tried to maximize the best usability in a limited space. They installed only half of the mohair on the triple-link middle door.. I bought it again and installed it, and even installed curtains, so the outside wind doesn't come in, and I can save on heating costs in the winter.
