Some people accept newness in a yearly cycle. Some people accept a month as newness, and some people accept a day as newness. People who think of a year as a cycle make new resolutions with a new heart on the first day of the new year, but after a few days, those resolutions become dull and they wait for the new year to come again. Newness comes to me moment by moment. Even if it's not seconds, minutes, or hours, I try to find newness at least in the unit of a day. Ilshinwooilshin means that every day is new. It means that the mind and resolution that greets each day is new. For those who reflect and introspect at the end of each day, every day is the first day of their life. I live each day with the attitude of constantly striving to live a better life than yesterday. There are still more days of defeat than days of victory for me who is still trying to become lazy, but I still try. The idea that there will be tomorrow just as there is today is a rather vague idea if you think about it a little deeply. Everyone has the possibility that today will be the last day of their life.
