#오홈스토랑 #콘수프기록 In the mid-1970s, when student demonstrations were in full swing, I received a notice for a physical examination for military enlistment. The decision was that I was underweight and had to be reexamined... In these chaotic times, since I had already decided to enlist, I stood in front of the judge and argued, "I must go to the military." For a full 15 minutes. A line of people wearing only underwear under the stage continued to get the final decision. In the end, the judge told me to repeat. "Eligible for active duty!" The decision grade was 'Grade 2', the lowest grade eligible for enlistment. From then on, my daily routine was Going to Seomyeon in Busan, where the Gyeongnam Military Manpower Administration was located! Even though I knew that Grade 2 was not eligible for priority conscription, I stubbornly persisted and passed and enlisted in Nonsan Training Center. After 4 weeks of training, I moved to the discharge area. During the two-day waiting period, there was a rumor that KATUSA would be drafted this time. KATUSA usually has no specialty in 00... I had already received the 44th Ordnance Logistics specialty, so I thought of it as someone else's business. That evening at the assignment announcement, my military number was called, and the order to repeat it was 'US Army', in other words KATUSA. KATUSA Korean Argumentation To the United States Army Korean assigned to the US Army The 34-month KATUSA life began. The biggest change in life was the meal Breakfast was 2 eggs, morning bread, bacon, sausage, apple, milk, pancake Lunch was choose one of two types The most popular line was the hamburger line 2 large hamburgers with French fries and cola Dinner was boiled meat, salt, and milk I always chose the hamburger for lunch. The taste of the hamburger was just like McDonald's. I couldn't forget the taste of that hamburger, so I often enjoyed McDonald's when I went on business trips abroad, even when I was working. It was convenient because it was easy to access no matter where I went in the world. On the way back from seeing my little granddaughter today, I saw a McDonald's near the folk village. I was so happy that I received a Big Mac set from the gardening game, and I enjoyed a home restaurant alone. Reminiscing about the old taste... hehe As we live, it's hard to give up our accustomed taste. Out of all the kinds of hamburgers, the only McDonald's hamburger that suits my taste is because of my 3 years of KASUSA life, and even now, it's hard to erase that old taste. The difficult thing about living in KATUSA was the longing for home cooking. The kimchi that people who came back from vacation brought back was the best gift for returning home. As we live, we live according to the habits that have become ingrained in us. That becomes our character and habit. Therefore, we need to have good habits from the beginning. As I communicate with my friends at Ojib, I see many examples of diligent and clean lives. I hope that through Ojib, I will be able to refine my life into a better one.
