💙 A meal for an elementary school student who loves Korean food 💙 (Oh Home Restaurant 2) Unlike my husband and I who can live for months without eating Korean food when living abroad, my first child who was born in a country other than Korea loves Korean food. There are days when I wish he would eat something simple like bread or cereal in the morning, but when I ask, "Do you want bread for breakfast today? Cereal? Or (in a slightly small voice) rice and soup?", my first child chooses rice and soup. As a mom who is not good at cooking (yes, I am) who is trying to prepare three meals a day during winter vacation, I open my eyes wide every morning wondering what I will make today. Yesterday, when I was taking care of my second child who had a runny nose all day because of a cold, I caught a cold myself and it was so hard, I ended up feeding him cereal for breakfast and various rice cakes I bought at a rice cake shop on the way back from the hospital for lunch. After that, I felt so sorry that I prepared a soybean paste stew with plenty of Korean beef chadolbagi, which my child likes, for dinner. My good child, who must have wanted to eat Korean food all day long and didn't even ask for it, ate a pack of chadolbagi and rice in one sitting. Today, I'm going to make a warm soup in the morning.
