I wanted to create a space where I could read books and talk with my kids. I put the bookshelf on the side because I wanted to make the house brighter, and I think it turned out well as intended. I discussed the COB lights thoroughly with the electrician, and installed them in a place where the kids' eyes wouldn't get tired when they read books :)
