I've only heard that a community center is very important in a new apartment, but there are many good things about having one. Our apartment opened a community space really quickly, and finally a shared office space opened, so I'm making my own workspace. I decorated the space that used to have only a desk and two chairs with lighting to create a warm atmosphere where I can sit and concentrate for 12 hours. And since it's a basement with no windows, it feels like I'm in nature with the chiffon curtains that give it a forest feel.
