More kitchen details! ❌I’d love to change our layout so the cooktop isn’t in the island, but that’s involves ripping up the floor and moving the gas line, so we decided it’s not worth it at this time! ❌ Would the cabinets look better going up to the ceiling? Yes! The space above ours wasn’t big enough to add uppers. The proportions would have been off. So to add uppers would require completely replacing 100% of the cabinetry which would have increased the cost dramatically. ✔️ The cabinets were painted and got new doors and hardware. We did square off the island and add two pantry cabinets to each end of the kitchen. ✔️ The 20+ year old appliances were replaced . ✔️ New backsplash, counters, sink and lighting were installed. We didn’t do everything on my wishlist, but it still feels like a whole new kitchen and is so much more functional now! #kitchenreno #kitchenremodel #kitcheninspo
