I used to live in a large house of 40 pyeong, but I moved in to a house that was almost 20 pyeong, so I was worried about what to do at first. I wondered what to do with the TV, but I moved it to the living room and found light. I made the living room a space where my family can read books together, play board games, and talk. ✔ Utilization of book cabinet → Organize only the necessary books neatly Originally, I had so many books that I could have put them in a full-length bookshelf, but when I brought them into a small house, I had nowhere to put them. I have reduced the number of books by almost a fifth, and I plan to reduce it even more in the future. I use the library or book rental store near my house for the books I need. ✔ Modular sofa & bean bag → A space that invites reading The good thing about using a modular sofa is that you can divide the sofa in half and use it in a small house through appropriate arrangement. We are currently using the sofa facing each other. It is a 3.5-person space, so even if you divide it in half, it is enough for one person to sit in each seat : ) The bean bag is a little more comfortable so you can read books half lying down and half standing up, so it is my child's favorite chair! ✔ Large table and trolley → Secure family & work space We have a large table in the hallway and it is a space where we eat meals with our family, play board games, and each person reads/works/does homework. I put the necessary items in the trolley, so it takes up less space but I can store and use various necessary items. I put the items my child uses frequently in the first compartment and make them visible, so he knows how to find and use them.
