The most efficient way to improve the quality of a space is with plants. For example, on the semi-outdoor balcony of the Master Bedroom that we use for morning coffee, sitting on the floor, meditating, reading books, and relaxing QT before going to bed. This area is breezy and there are not many mosquitoes. The bengkirai wood lattice also creates shadows like a sundial. Unlike the vertical garden system which is immediately lush upon installation (but comes with a cost of IDR 1,000,000 per m2), we only spent around 15% of it for a 2.1 x 2.8 m vertical garden. However, this climbing plant vertical garden takes a long time to look tall and lush. The climbing plants planted are sirih-sirihan and philodendron. We also put pots of fragrant plants such as jasmine, zodia, lavender, rosemary which make our room fragrant and relaxing.
