The little things that I think can build ambience in the kitchen are lighting and wood accents. When renovating the kitchen, I chose to give wood accents on the lower cabinets, some shelves, and the floor so that the kitchen feels more grounded and warm. Because I know the kitchen will be an area with lots of stuff too, this wood accent is very complimentary for a living room. In addition to ambience, I installed LED Strips on the kitchen set shelves and after that I also added task lighting that is quite statement-making, so besides being functional, it can also be used as decoration.
