🌸 ლ(╹◡╹ლ)💕 Yesterday, the owner of my regular flower shop gifted me a beautiful bouquet of peonies. He said it was the first peonies of the year and he really wanted to give them to me. I was so grateful and touched. :) There are so many varieties of peonies, but this one is a double peony, and the variety is 'Angel Chicks.' Peonies bloom very quickly, so when I buy them, I usually pick them up when they look like ping-pong balls. And sure enough, I put them in a vase late that evening, and this morning, I saw that they had already sprouted a bunch of large flower heads. 🥰 (🌿 Photo 123 / Today, Photo 456 / Yesterday) When peonies bloom like this, they often become so heavy that they bend, almost to the point of breaking. I tend to cut the stems short beforehand so that the flower heads can lean against the vase. Actually, it looks prettier when it's long, but... for me, the medium-length version is my top pick. The important thing is the peonies that don't break. Haha. Peonies are toxic, so I put them on the flowerpot display stand, which Bom Yeoreum usually doesn't pay much attention to. But the peonies, the Margarets nestled between them, and the single, swaying sedge were all so pretty. I kept taking a second look as I passed by.
