💙 Baby who reads books 💙 While raising two children, my husband and I had a goal. It was to raise them to be people who love books. So, from the time my first child was a newborn to the 4th grade of elementary school, I didn’t send him to an academy or give him workbooks. Instead, I read him books every single day, except when I was away on business or working late. Then, one day, he started reading books on his own. Of course, now that he’s in the 5th grade of elementary school, he argues with me about wanting more game time, wanting to watch videos, but he’s still a child who basically enjoys reading books. I want to raise my second child, who’s now a full 12 months old, to love books. However, I couldn’t read to him as much as I did to my first child, making excuses. But recently, my second child has started to show a great interest in books. When he wakes up in the morning, he goes to the bookshelf where his books are and plops down in front of it, flips through the pages, and when family members approach him, he pulls out a book and gestures for them to read it to him. When I try to read a book to her because she looks so cute, she gets excited and shakes her body, clapping and laughing. When I see her sitting on my lap and concentrating on the story with a serious look in her eyes, I think that no matter how tired she is, I should read her a book harder. The picture is from this morning. My second child woke up early this morning and sat there for a long time, pulling out her favorite book. Honey, Mommy will read you a lot of books.
