I washed it as soon as I received it and even put it through the dryer cycle, but it was sturdy without any deformation or distortion, and I realized the advantages of high-quality cotton once again. It is a pad type, not a cover type, so it is not affected by the shape of the sofa, so it is perfect for a yellow clay ball couch sofa like ours. The back is also meticulously treated with anti-slip silicone, so it does not slide easily, which is an advantage.
