My child is just beginning to learn the concept of time. But lately, he has been asking a lot of questions like, “Who’s birthday is when?” “What are we doing when?” So I bought a magnetic memo sheet calendar! Since he can’t read Korean yet, I draw pictures so that he can recognize them. I draw faces on the calendar for the birthdays of my family and friends, and on Fridays, which is my child’s favorite day to take a half-body bath, I marked water with ‘Splash Splash Day’ And he naturally started to look forward to the calendar and naturally started to understand the days of the week. A while ago, I asked him, “Who’s birthday is in April?” And he was surprised when he listed the names of his family and friends. It’s a magnetic sheet that can be attached to the wall, so it doesn’t take up much space, and it’s convenient because you can easily erase and rewrite it like a whiteboard.
