We have a new friend in the playroom :) It's the first desk and chair in my child's life. The low desk that I used to use has now been changed to a pretty dignified 'big brother desk'. When the installer came to install it, my first child couldn't leave the installer's side, twitching his feet. "Mom, all that's left is the chair." "It's almost done!" His eyes sparkled as if he was broadcasting live. Originally, I was going to bring in a desk when he was around 7, but after my second child was born, I needed my own space a little earlier. I think the biggest change was that I could quietly draw, read books, and most of all, have 'my own space'. The desk and chair can both be adjusted in height, and the desk can be angled, so it's great for my child's favorite drawing and reading. Every detail, from the pad insertion space to the perforated board that I can decorate as I like, feels like it was made with my child in mind. Above all, this combination is really pretty. It's a child's space, but it's also a neat and cute design that matches well with the atmosphere of the house. My child's favorite Jean Julien picture book, John Klassen's storybook, round hooks, and colorful bookends.
