I've stocked it with my child's favorite items, like hats, sunglasses, a comb, and lotion, and placed them conveniently in front of the mirror. Here, he can brush his hair or apply lotion. ✔️ Ikea Byhals This was originally a storage unit with internal compartments. I removed all the internal compartments and added compression bars. I searched for a long time for a sliding storage unit that was the right size for my child and a small room, but nothing beats the Ikea Byhals. Folding and organizing clothes is a daunting chore for a working mom, so I just hang all of my child's outdoor clothes on hangers. The first compartment is for outerwear. The second compartment is for outerwear bottoms. The third compartment is for dresses. The fourth compartment is for clothes that aren't appropriate for the current season. (I purposely hung clothes I don't wear often in the mirrored compartment.) The drawers have different heights, which is actually quite useful. In the middle compartment, where my child can most easily reach, I keep my daily underwear. In the upper compartment, out of my child's reach, I keep small baby items like a thermometer. My child understands this organization pattern, so he knows where his clothes are, and he can even get them out and put them on himself, making getting ready for school much easier! I support all children's smart, self-directed lives :)
