#여름방학일기 1 Eight years ago today, my first child was born. I went in around 10:21 AM and labored through the entire process, but the baby was stuck in my pelvis and couldn't come out. Finally, I was vacuumed out at 8:51 PM. My precious baby, whom I was willing to give my all to. I hadn't eaten a single meal since morning and was in labor all night. My whole body was shaking and dizzy, so I couldn't even move. I went to see the baby in a wheelchair. From vacuuming him out, I got a cut on his head. The wound looked so big on his tiny head. My husband and I held onto the window and cried. I'm sorry, baby... I'm sorry... His head was pressed down from being stuck in my pelvis for so long, and when I saw his elongated skull, like an alien's, I cried again. Mom, I'm sorry... I was crying so much that the nurse came and said, "Don't worry. Babies recover quickly, so the wound will heal quickly, and the head will be fine soon." The next day, when we brought our baby to our first rooming-in, "Oh my gosh...!!!" She was so...so tiny. Newborns are so incredibly tiny. "Their heads felt smaller than my fist." "I was afraid to even put on their diapers, worried they might break." After a day or two, "thankfully, the baby's head shape returned to normal. "The wound quickly scabbed over, and I, the new mom, was able to change diapers quite well. To think such a beautiful angel was born in my womb... I was filled with awe every moment of every day. "And now, her 8th birthday has arrived." This birthday, she wanted to do just what she wanted: not even a birthday garland (she said it was too much), just buy a cake and have a simple birthday party (she said it was too much), and go to her favorite children's museum and a restaurant, so I did. And when I gave her a special gift, a moment clock from the Our Episodes engraved with August 3rd, she, who doesn't even know how to express that, beamed and said she loved it! In the master bedroom, we have a moment clock engraved with our wedding anniversary. She looked at it and said, "What a pretty clock... Mom and Dad would love it!" She said she'd put this clock in her own room first. When I asked her how her birthday was, she said, "It was the happiest birthday I've ever had."
