It's a small kitchen. I installed an island because I didn't have any space to cook. If you don't have a place to cook, I recommend an island. I've been using it since I moved into my studio apartment, but I definitely prefer a two-tier dish drying rack! Since it's a gas stove, I installed a screen to block out grease and heat. It's on a stand, so it's safe and heavy, so it won't tip over.
