It was so pretty, I wanted to use it as decoration rather than just a bookmark. I happened to have a small wooden box lying around the house, used to store things like screws and nails, so I measured the angles and found it to be just the right size. I painted it with a more atmospheric color to bring out the character, drilled a hole, and threaded the leather strap that was originally tied to the bookmark through it to hang it on the wall. It looks so romantic hanging on my vanity! Since it's a decoration featuring paintings by European artists, I also added a movie postcard with a European setting.
