Small Kitchen Interior Design Because my kitchen is small, I designed the interior using layers to create a unique look without being visually overwhelming. For the wall tiles, I chose small, vertical tiles to create a clean, yet slightly vintage feel. Because they distract the eye more than large tiles, they don't feel cramped in a small space and actually enhance the ambiance. For the cabinet details and some furniture finishes, I added wood accents in the same tone to create an overall warm and soft feel.
