The refrigerator, where I'd worked so hard for 18 years, was now empty. I struggled to find something suitable for this space, to gather the children who had quietly been living in a corner of the kitchen together. I never thought I'd face the truth that life doesn't always go as planned. After four trips to IKEA with my daughters, I decided it was time to buy something. A Muji stainless steel unit shelf was on sale. I bought it on a whim. While my husband and second son were assembling it, I kept applauding them, "Good job, good job!" It was so convenient to have the recycling bin nearby. It's even more convenient to have all the small appliances I often use stored away. And I'm also happy to see the 18-year-old enamel rice container neatly organized. I considered covering it with curtains, but then I decided to leave it as is. #MyStudio #AmYoKitchenIsAHousewife'sStudio
