Before I started, I wondered if a "laptop stand" was really necessary. After getting it and using it, I realized it magically adds space to a small desk. I usually write in my diary or prepare for class at my desk, and the extra space in front of it makes my stuffy desk feel a little more spacious. The second benefit is my neck. Laptops tend to keep your gaze down, which can lead to neck pain and a major cause of turtle neck. By bringing your gaze up toward the monitor, I think it naturally improves posture!
