I used to use a thick, heavy wooden cutting board, and while it felt nice when cutting, I always found the wash and maintenance process inconvenient. I was debating between a plastic cutting board set and the Originale Compressed Cutting Board, hoping to reduce my consumption of microplastics. It's like a cost-effective version of Epicurean. People who've tried both haven't noticed much of a difference, so I'm going with the cost-effective option. ▪︎ The silicone finish on both sides prevents slipping. ▪︎ It's lightweight and dries quickly after washing. ▪︎ It left light marks when I cut with it. It's a cutting board, so that's to be expected. (Of the dark and natural colors, the lighter one is said to be less noticeable.) ▪︎ I also added a handy cutting board, which I use for plating.
