After much deliberation, I chose the induction hood with the burner moved under the window, and I'm absolutely delighted. The suction power, my biggest concern, was not an issue at all. It sucks up just like a regular hood, and when set to auto mode, it sucks up smoke as soon as it starts to build up, which is convenient. The suction area is also super easy to clean, so there's no need to worry about odors!
