#콘수프기록집 #오늘의우리집 #오늘의가든 When asked how I'm so good at growing plants... I say I grow them with love, with the knowledge I've gained through countless trials and errors from books and experience. I'd like to share some of that information with you today. :D 1. Pruning Be careful when cutting and discarding dead leaves. In indoor environments with fewer pests, dead leaves have a harder time decomposing. Usually, prune branches that are drooping. For faded or old leaves, cut them with scissors sterilized with alcohol. This will help them grow stronger. 2. Cleaning The leaves of indoor plants tend to accumulate dust, so it's a good idea to wipe them with a damp cloth every few months. For light pots that are easy to move, it's a good idea to give them a shower in the bathroom. However, wet wipes contain chemicals, so avoid using them. 3. Sunlight Photosynthesis is crucial. However, indoor plants benefit from bright indirect light rather than direct sunlight. Bright indirect light refers to light coming through a window. If your plant receives more than two or three hours of direct sunlight per day, it's a good idea to lightly shade the window with curtains. 4. Ventilation Plants need to breathe, too. Therefore, it's best to place them in a well-ventilated area. Frequently opening windows to ventilate the area will help them thrive. Allowing the water to dry after watering is also important. This helps prevent root flies and other fungi. In the winter, when it's difficult to open windows frequently, using a fan to ventilate the area is also a good idea. 5. Watering Watering schedules vary depending on the plant. Some plants require frequent watering, while others need a thorough soak when the water dries out completely. Therefore, you should consider each plant individually and water accordingly. However, watering needs may vary depending on the type of pot, so watering should be done accordingly. 6. Location Selection Usually, we choose a location that we think will complement our interior design rather than one that will allow the plant to grow well. However, the most important factor to consider is light. Light drives photosynthesis, which allows plants to produce food. Therefore, any location with good ventilation and adequate light is ideal. So, would you like to start with a small plant?
