The corner of the kitchen, where the kitchen rack was gone, is empty, a space that was always full, and somehow feels awkward and boring. I've installed a shelf that's both novel and captivating, and I've spent some time alone, looking around and feeling incredibly satisfied. Even though it's just small things like this, it's sometimes a source of great joy for me. These days, I mostly spend time in the kitchen feeding the baby and making breakfast sandwiches. I'm quite pleased with my sandwich zone, which is both neat and empty. Today's sandwich, spread with fig jam, topped with butter, arugula, and ham. It turned out to be a bland sandwich! (lol) But it's still a good feeling, so let's say it was delicious. I'm enjoying myself, seizing the small moments, and moving on with this day.
