Alocasia Friedeck Green Velvet 🌿 I bought a small plant online and grew it into this large one. I've shared a lot of seedlings and sent many 🥕 to giveaways. I'm also growing a small one. A while ago, it started growing smaller leaves and had fewer leaves, so I took special measures. I cut off some of the lower roots to make it a little taller, and repotted it in the same pot. (I don't have a larger pot...😂) Thankfully, the new leaves are now bigger than the old ones. It currently has 8 leaves 😍 Alocasias seem to become more beautiful as they grow larger. 🪴 The soft velvety texture and distinct leaf veins are so charming! 🏷 Tips for Growing Alocasia! ⚡️Water when the soil dries out (vulnerable to overwatering) ⚡️Use a pot appropriate for the root system (always a large pot❌️) ⚡️Use supports (for a nice tree shape, to prevent drooping leaves, and to delay lower leaf growth) ⚡️Regularly spray the leaves with water (to prevent mites) ⚡️Apply egg fertilizer occasionally (to help the leaves grow larger) Alocasia Fried Deck stands out and looks great anywhere in the house.
