What did my first fig taste like...? When I first took a bite, I thought, "Huh? What is this?" But as I chewed, the seeds burst open, and a strangely sweet flavor rose up. 🍑 So, rather than eating it plain, I thought it would be even more delicious if I cooked it simply, so I made an open-faced fig sandwich! I spread a generous amount of cream cheese on toast, and arranged the figs beautifully, and sprinkled some blueberries and granola on top. (The granola has a crazy texture... definitely add it.) And then drizzled some maple syrup—🍯 The sweet and crunchy combination and, oh my, one sip it was just perfect...
