I just gradually created moods I liked, and I realized, "Ah, I like this kind of thing, and this kind of place makes me happy." So, I think decorating my space is a way to get to know myself. Is there anything more important than knowing what places and moments bring me joy? The biggest feature of my home is the abundance of lighting! I think illuminating even the smallest, darkest spots brightens my mood. They say controlling the lighting—"dim in the evening, bright during the day!"—is good for your circadian rhythm! ꔷ̑◡ꔷ̑ Second, I love colorful accessories. You know, color therapy? Enjoying delicious food with loved ones in beautifully designed dishes, arranging flowers in a vase of my favorite color—these are the things I gain energy from. Thirdly, I love images (paintings, photographs), so I change them with the seasons and my mood. This leads me to add a splash of color. I believe that home isn't just a place to relax, and paintings play a huge role in transforming it into something fun and relaxing! Lastly, I love doing things myself. Imagine the joy of giving a quick slick of paint to a hallway drawer, a kitchen accent wall, or a tired piece of furniture! What do you think? It's not perfect. There are so many people who create incredibly beautiful spaces. That's why I always struggle with the feeling of imperfection. However, pondering and discovering what my colors and joys are, and creating a space that becomes more and more me, is the life I want to live. "Living as myself."
