#FTC17기이야기 #우리집소개 Hello, I'm a 15-year veteran marketer who once majored in design, and a working mom raising 41-month-old twins. I recently decided to try raising my children independently and moved closer to work. Since I'm juggling work and childcare, I decided to create a space for adults in this home as well. ✨ I thought about what I used to enjoy... and I realized I really enjoyed visiting places like galleries and lounge bars while traveling. 🥹 At some point, I realized I rarely went out for myself, so I thought I'd transform my living room and dining area into something like a gallery or hotel lounge, where I could always hang out with my kids. So, the lounge items I chose were large pieces with emphasized curves, as shown below. 🫧 ✔️ Curved sofa ✔️ Carved, irregularly shaped rug ✔️ Round dining table, coffee/side table However, too many curved items would ruin the modern feel, so I chose black🖤 as an accent color to draw attention to the main color, ivory. I arranged them alongside the following items, which emphasize straight lines: ✔️ Blinds ✔️ Articulated floor lamp ✔️ Storage cabinet ✔️ Square sides of TV and refrigerator Finally, I wanted to add a small, yet free-flowing element to my home. So, I placed the curved sofa on the art wall where the TV is usually placed, and placed the auxiliary window in front to create a focal point for the view. I also hung the TV on an easel-style stand, slightly angled. It's like a gallery painting! 🖼️ I love how that alone creates a slightly different vibe from the typical home layout! 🤭 However, since my children are still young, I try to choose home decor items that are reasonably priced.
