💙 Don't forget. Air Conditioner Maintenance Tips 💙 I used to live comfortably with just a standing air conditioner in the living room, but last year, when I renovated my home, I installed LG system air conditioners in every room. The Korean climate is no longer what it used to be. Thanks to this, I've stayed incredibly cool and dry all summer. However, since air conditioners are essentially machines that blow air throughout the house, and I'm sensitive to things invisible to the naked eye (like mold and fine dust), I always follow one rule when using my air conditioner: 📌 Turn the air conditioner on fan mode for at least an hour before turning it off. 📌 The fan function of an air conditioner circulates indoor air using only the indoor fan, without the outdoor unit running. It's similar to a fan. Running the air conditioner in cooling mode to bring the temperature below a certain level and then switching to fan mode to circulate the cooled air can also save some electricity. However, the fan mode also controls ventilation and humidity, which helps prevent mold growth inside the air conditioner due to moisture. While the air conditioner itself has a natural drying function, I always set it to automatically turn off after 1-2 hours after switching to fan mode. The sweltering summer has finally passed, and we're entering a season where we don't need to keep the air conditioner on all day. Both my children are sensitive to the heat, so we still have the air conditioner on, but thanks to always using the fan mode, I feel like I've had a cool and healthy summer!
