Walking down the street, it's easy to encounter people with blank expressions. Living in a gray city, surrounded by only neutral spaces, I've probably become emotionally numb without even realizing it. Seeing only white, gray, and black, I felt like I, too, had become emotionally numb and unable to empathize with others. So, I transformed my living room into "my own pleasant space." I filled every space I looked at with my favorite colors. When you change your space, your emotions follow.
