I installed a double door in the kitchen to separate it from the living room. It keeps us warm in the winter and saves energy in the summer! Living with two cats and a dog, I used to worry a lot about hair, but now the kitchen stays clean. It's a small change, but it's made a huge difference in the temperature of the house. When guests come over or I'm feeling stuffy, I can just tuck the double door into the wall, so it's hidden, almost unnoticeable. Actually, this double door is a unique idea for our house. My husband came up with it because I was worried about animal hair. At first, he was against it, worried it would look stuffy, but after he drew a perspective drawing and confirmed it, he declared, "I'll build this double door for you!"
