I love the warm feeling that wood gives. The natural grain creates a calming and comfortable space. For me, the key to wood interior design is matching the wood tone! The color varies depending on the type of wood, and even within the same wood, the grain and subtle tones can vary slightly. In our home, we chose walnut as the main color, centered around the walnut frame in the bedroom. We try to unify the tone with furniture and accessories in dark walnut tones whenever possible. If you have furniture of a different color, like oak, you can easily match the color by refinishing it with water-based wood stain. I even painted the plant shelf in my living room and the mirror in my small room to match the tone :) Isn't it perfect? Even within the same space, coordinating wood tones creates a much warmer and more harmonious look.
