While remodeling this time, I suddenly realized: 'I've lost a lot of my preconceptions!' I know my house best, so 'It looks best when it's tucked away, and it looks best when it's tucked away.' We can all agree, right? It's about breaking that mold. For example, we're giving each zone in our house a different "Liz era." This time, the window becomes the star, and next time, the wall will stand out. 🪴 Three Sweet Rules for Structural Change 1️⃣ Don't mount the TV on the living room wall. Because our house is a single-family home, the master bedroom is very large, so the TV is in the room instead of the living room. In the spring and fall, I enjoy a beer with a headwind, and in the winter, I turn on the TV and create a cozy corner movie theater. 2️⃣ Be careful when installing built-in furniture. Once installed, it's the hardest to move. Shelf-style furniture is great for storage, but depending on the space, it can feel cramped and difficult to create diverse layouts. 3️⃣ Throw away the unspoken rules of K-apartment layout. "This is the sofa, this is the dining table." It's about letting go of the unspoken rules. I found number 3 the most difficult. So I'm currently experimenting with moving the sofa from east to west, south to north. The current sofa placement reduces the sense of openness, but it gives me a beautiful back view and a forest view. I heard that it's also good to have the sofa facing away from the entrance, so I tried that. Dining tables are always easy to keep in place, but this time, I moved them to the wall and the window, and decorated the dining area in a unique way.
