After two months of searching for a humidifier, I finally bought a Stanpot heated humidifier! Comparing ultrasonic, vaporizer, combination, and heated humidifiers, I searched YouTube and blog reviews, and got so fed up that I considered not buying one...😭 I finally bought this one. I feel so relieved. Haha. I used an ultrasonic humidifier before, but it wasn't easy to clean, so I bought a smaller one. I used it for a year and replaced it. This time, I switched to a heated humidifier, which is supposedly germ-free! I think it's because it uses boiling water, and the air is warm at night, which is nice! The downsides I was considering for heated humidifiers were the rice cooker-like design, and the fact that limescale builds up on the bottom, making cleaning a hassle. I heard it's a little less annoying if you use purified water. And I heard that the high humidity level can actually cause over-humidity, so I chose a model with a timer and adjustable spray volume. It seems to be fine so far. 🤭 The steam source can be hot if you burn your fingers, so I'd be careful with young children! I think I'll have to use it on a desk or somewhere high up!
