I'd always said, "I should decorate it someday," but never really got around to it. But with just three items, it was completely transformed. First, I added warm lighting. Simply replacing the fluorescent light on the ceiling with a soft yellow lamp transformed the air in the room. The light enveloped the walls, making the space feel even more cozy. Next, I added an armchair. I placed a comfortable, not-too-big, chair by the window. It's the perfect spot to sit and read a book at the end of the day. With some quiet music playing, what had been my alpha room suddenly transformed into my own little lounge. Finally, I added a plant or two. The green leaves sparkled under the lights, making the space feel alive and breathing. It's something that purifies the mind, warming it even more than an air purifier.
