After construction, there was a persistent unpleasant smell coming from the master bathroom. I thought it was a sewer smell, so I installed a drain trap. I also thought it was a new building smell, so I ventilated and cleaned the bathroom frequently, but nothing worked. One day, my husband smelled something under the sink and exclaimed, "That's cement!" It turned out the tile under the sink wasn't properly finished, and the smell was coming from the cement and brick inside.
