These days, people talk a lot about minimal vs. maximal interior design, but I've realized that the key isn't a matter of taste, but rather the feeling of spaciousness that a space provides! My home is close to being "minimal," with not too many things. But that doesn't mean I wanted it to feel empty. 🤔 A home that maintains warmth and coziness, but also offers a pleasant view. I wanted to find that middle ground! That's why I chose "empty, but not empty." ・Instead of adding different colors, I unified the look with a single layer of white. ・Furniture is understated, but design is bold and expressive. ・Minimal decorations, but add a touch of vitality with greenery. ・Curtains gently diffuse the light to create a warm, empty space. So, I ended up with a space with fewer things, but more fulfilling. Neither empty minimalism nor overstuffed maximalism is the answer, but I think my home feels most like itself right now. 🤍 A home where taste dictates everything. A home where my heart feels at ease, not someone else's. Today, as I gaze into my living room, bathed in gentle sunlight, I'm truly grateful for this everyday life.
