I sent off my old plants and brought in some new ones. I chose ferns, rushes, and asparagus setaceus, which I wanted to buy at a direct flower market. I could have skipped buying them because they're called "plant killers," but they add so much life to my home that I can keep them longer than flowers, so it's a good value. I usually buy them at a nearby direct flower market or flower complex when I go to a cafe. It's fun to choose, and I can keep them for a long time, so it's a small joy for me, a homebody. I chose plants with an average difficulty level of ★★☆☆☆, so I'll do my best. Since they like semi-shade, I keep them inside at night and put them on the veranda during the day to get some sunlight and breeze.
