The principle is that the butter doesn't come into contact with air, preventing spoilage. So, leave it at room temperature for a while, and once it's soft, spread it out well and pack it in. I had to strain my wrists to pack in the slightly melted butter... ㅠ But I persevered for the sake of enjoying the delicious butter. The butter I used is Pritchard's salted butter. The salt in salted butter is said to have some natural preservative properties.
