#2025HouseOfTheYear I'm Dahyunjae, dreaming of a cozy, oriental-inspired home in my apartment. It's been exactly a year since I started decorating. I received housewarming suggestions right after I started, and it's been a year since I received them. Haha^^ I thought I'd just change and write about this... but I've been constantly upgrading, and it's already been a yearㅜ I've been inspired by the stylish homes on Today's House, and I feel like I've grown a lot. Reflecting on the spaces I decorated solely to my taste in my 80-square-foot (25 pyeong) apartment, which I've rented for eight years, without any remodeling, I dare to challenge myself for the House of the Year award. I hoped that my space would be memorable when someone saw it, and how wonderful it would be if a home could provide rest and healing. Reservations for these emotional homes are difficult, but when you actually go, you feel truly healed and happy. A home where you begin and end your day together, how wonderful would it be if my home were such an emotional home? I think I've created this space, piece by piece, with the idea of a sentimental home, even though it's just an apartment. In this space, with its clean molding and wallpaper, and its ambiguous wood flooring, I boldly chose the color black and incorporated Oriental elements. Because I have a minimalist streak, preferring a minimalist approach with a low perspective, I arranged the space with low-style furniture that creates a sense of openness and enhances the sense of space. This home, with no mirrors, picture frames, or clocks—a single piece of props—was self-decorated with just nine partition walls. I wanted to show that partition walls aren't just for covering up, but can be a part of the interior. So many people have remembered my space and given me so many kind words, and the time I've spent decorating this home has been incredibly valuable and happy. I have a pet bird, Ans, who has been with me for five years. Ans, the only chromatic bird in this otherwise neutral home, has become Dahyunjae's mascot, making this year shine even brighter. Is Dahyunjae's Oriental-inspired accommodation within an apartment worth the challenge? #OrientalInterior #BlackInterior #MinimalInterior #FrameWallInterior #TheMeaningOfVoid #OrientalInterior #LivingRoomStyling #25PyeongApartmentInterior #SelfInterior #MonotoneInterior #ModernInterior #2025HouseOfTheYear #2025HouseOfTheYearAwards
