December is a time when we tend to host a lot of dinner parties at home, whether it's the end of the year, housewarming parties, birthdays, or anything else. When I see a favorite dish, I like to buy two or three small pieces. So, when four or more guests are coming, it's a bit overwhelming to figure out how to arrange it. I can't handle serving haphazard, disposable dishes, but I also don't want to buy dishes I wouldn't normally use. I'll share how to set a stylish dinner table using my own beautiful dishes and cost-effective combinations! • Cutlery Setting: If you don't have enough beautiful cutlery for everyone, like Laguiole or Sabre, a simple pair of chopsticks and a pretty postcard can make it even more special. I cut a slit in the middle of the postcard to pass the chopsticks through, then tied it roughly with a thin velvet ribbon I had at home. Experiment with different combinations depending on the card design and the mood of your tableware. • Coordination of Tableware Materials: For main and side plates, I often mix in some popular ceramics, along with a bit of glass and silver. This combination creates a stylish look, even if the entire set isn't from the same brand. • I love Duralex for appetizer plates. I'm having a dinner party for six, so I was wondering what to do with the appetizer plates, so I bought a few more of my existing Duralex dessert plates. The pleated lines on the rims keep them from being too plain, and they're just the right size. I've bought a few more Duralex pieces, and they're always in my possession. They also complement glass wine glasses or champagne flutes, which are perfect for a special occasion.
