#2025올해의집 I think Genie Wish's home this year is a perfect blend of familiarity and novelty, a fitting pairing. As the year draws to a close, the photos I've taken capture the continual evolution of my family, home, and all the things I've grown attached to. I need to maintain the space and routines for my aging dog, and the home where my husband can relax after work needs to maintain a sense of familiarity without overwhelming change. Even amidst all this, the carefully chosen items found new pairs and created a different atmosphere. This year, I felt like my family and home were both living, breathing entities. I'm happy to have had a productive and progressive year. Recently, my husband and I have been working on a plan for decluttering, which continues to be a constant process. I used to be always greedy and procrastinate due to needless perfectionism, but I've come to realize that while I'm working hard, I need adequate rest, and that this is actually a routine that allows me to live even harder. (Even while choosing photos, I had so many partners that I couldn't decide which one to choose 😉) These days, I'm realizing that our family's tastes aren't about perfection, but about enjoying them with a constantly new attitude. Thank you.
