The living room has a cozy, warm atmosphere. I keep large furniture to a minimum, and I tend to use rugs and lighting to create the right mood. The view from the window is from the apartment, but because it faces south, the sunlight pours in, so reading a book in the living room is my favorite time of the day. I've also displayed small knick-knacks I picked up on my travels on the shelves. They're not so much souvenirs, but rather reminders of the past, so I keep them.
