#2025올해의집 #2025올해의집어워드 2025 House of the Year 🏆 We moved into our new home at the end of February this year. From the mortgage to the contract, there were many firsts, so there was more to research and worry about than I expected. But after many twists and turns, we finally found our first home. We're both designers, so our tastes aren't exactly the same, but our personalities are similar, and we wanted to naturally incorporate those differences into this home. We constantly thought about what a home that best represents me and us would look like, filling the space. Our home is a 70-square-foot (21 pyeong) apartment, so it might feel a little cramped, but that's why we put extra thought into every detail. However, we both shared a common desire: We didn't want the home to be overly white or ivory-dominated. My wife loves burgundy, and my husband loves green. This home was completed by harmonizing our two different tastes. It's not a common color combination, but that's why I love it so much. I was worried I'd get tired of too many colors, but I find that favorite colors don't change easily. I feel like this home is just like us. This year has been a year of many changes for me personally. It was especially meaningful to be able to document this time and space through Today's House, and as an extension of that, I wanted to try my hand at this year's House. There are so many unique and wonderful homes out there, so I'm cautious, but I hope you'll enjoy this space, which contains our own unique story. 🙂
