I don't spend much time at home because of work, but when I do have a day off, I'm a homebody who just wants to stay home and not go anywhere. So, I'm slowly creating a space where almost all my time at home can be spent in this living room with a dining table! 1. A Living Room Centered on a Round Table Instead of a TV I rarely watch TV, so instead of a sofa, I placed a table in the center of the living room that can be used for friends over or for work. Because the space is small, a round table is better than a square one, making it easier to move around and eat together. 2. A Custom-Made Table I really wanted the table to be the focal point of this space, but many round tables on the market are too plain. So, I custom-made one with the proportions and colors I wanted. It's quite heavy, so I can't move it, but it's fixed in place. 3. Pendant Lights Instead of Main Lighting Since the table is fixed in place, I found that hanging a pendant light above it didn't obstruct the flow of movement. So, I boldly removed the existing fluorescent lights and installed a bright light that only shines above the table, creating a more cafe-like atmosphere.
