The cushioning is soft and firm, so it won't get disturbed, whether adults sit on it or children play! It uses a bracket system, not crocodile teeth or butterfly hinges, making it easy to install and remove. The clean modular structure, with no exposed hardware, is also a huge plus. :) The seat cushion is made with a grid-like slat structure, so it won't show any signs of wear and tear even after long use, and it maintains its shape even when sitting, lying down, or jumping around.
